Who I am:

Hi. I’m Philipp.
I love to constantly question, build and expand my universe.
I’m an independent strategic consultant with 12+ years of work experience designing potential futures with international teams in Germany, the UK and France. Currently, I’m based in Lille.

I’m married, have two boys. I do sports as often as I can. I like photography– especially with my Fuji X100, enjoy good exhibitions but prefer to spend my time outside in nature. I play guitar and absolutely need a good cup of coffee to get going.

I’m trained in Industrial design and business sustainability management. I’m working with design and impact agencies, start-ups and big corporates.
In 2020, I completed the Business Sustainability Management course at the Institute of Sustainability Leadership of Cambridge University.

My strength lies in questioning the existing, identifying and researching insights and translating them into tangible results.

Our relentless consumption is pushing our planet to its limits and beyond, with dramatic effects on our ways of living and doing business together.

So, if I’m honest, I think we are in big s**t.

Getting your community or business ready will take radical sustainable innovation and understanding to drive change and become adaptable to the challenges ahead.
If we don’t start to mitigate risks now, the cost of future adaptation will be significantly higher and ineffective.
The good news is, that sustainable solutions are much more likely to be innovative, and sustainability leaders are more likely to be innovation leaders.

To create a livable future, we must face our responsibility to business, society and our planet and create solutions that reduce waste and optimize resource use. We need to develop products and systems that are environmentally viable.

I help innovators build leaner products, services and systems, making them more adoptable and resilient towards future challenges and disruptions.

My approach combines sustainability management, future thinking and, design practices to create the world I believe—and want to live in.

I do this as an external consultant or an integral part of your team.

I’m driven to adopt new ways of seeing, thinking, and interacting resulting in sustainable, innovative solutions that combine physical and digital experiences.

Philipp worked for my entity for 6 months in 2022-23 on a 10-year projection of our activity.


He focussed on providing external insights on how the world might look 10 years from now and the potential impact on outdoor sports activities.

Philipps approach excels on a robust, future-driven kit of working methods & tools.

His work included the preparation and facilitation of a two-day executive workshop with more than twenty experienced participants.

Followed by an intensive synthesis phase findings were transformed into three highly valuable, accurate concepts summarised in a report and presented to a wider audience throughout the company — with astonishing feedback.

We still use the work provided, 2 years later. It continues to be of exceptionally high quality and perfectly adapted to our challenges and expectations.
